  • The commander-in-chief of the freedom fighters Col. M A G Osmai visited the camp of freedom fighters located at Ramgarh and inquired about Chittagong. After his visit, he instructed Mir Shawkat to keep Ramgarh free at least for couple more days by any means, so that the innocent citizens can take shelter in India safely.

  • The Pakistani forces attacked a small group of the freedom fighters consisting of 10 persons positioned at Maguramari near Amarkhana. During this, two freedom fighters were martyred and another two were severely injured.

  • The Pakistani forces charged a surprise attack on the freedom fighters located at Chikanchhara of Chittagong. As the aftermath of this fight, the freedom fighters had to retreat and took position at Baganbari.

  • At Katmandu, the prime minister of Nepal B.P. Kairala expressed his concern about the unarmed people of Bangladesh in a statement. He hoped that the freedom fighters of Bangladesh would be victorious.

  • In Dhaka, the military authority declared that punishment will be strictly inflicted if the natural process of farming is interrupted, and the due taxes will have to be paid by next June 30.

  • At the Cento conference held at Ankara, the Pakistani representative Iftekhar Ali called the liberation war an Indian conspiracy.

  • Libyan leader Col. Gaddafi informed the Pakistani ambassador, appointed in Tripoli, Abdur Rouf that Yahya Khan took the right action to keep up the solidarity of Pakistan.

  • At Deana of Daulatpur in Khulna, a conference of peace committee was held, chaired by Sabur Khan. At that conference, Sabur Khan urged the people of Khulna on building a heavy resistance against the traitors (freedom fighters).

  • In Rangpur, the opposers of independence held a procession. The procession was led by the members of National Assembly Sirajul Islam and Mohammad Amin.

  • In a speech broadcast from Sylhet Betaar Kendra, the convener of Sylhet peace committee Nazmul Hossain and co-convener Khondoker Abdul Jalil addressed the patriots to cooperate with the Pakistani Army and to destroy the freedom fighters.
